About Gerardo Alas

Operations & Financial Director

I focus on efficiency and practicality, balancing my father’s optimism with a more realistic approach. Hard work is second nature to me—I’ve seen my parents work tirelessly, and I do the same. Rather than setting distant goals, I focus on the next step, always optimizing what we have.

I am passionate about construction and eager to learn. As things evolve, we continuously seek better ways to do business and improve our work.

Initially, I didn’t want to pursue construction, feeling like it was expected of me. But after leaving school, I saw it as more than just a job—it became a legacy. Once I fully committed, I grew to love both the business and the technical side of construction.

Each day brings new challenges, and that excites me. Whether in business operations or remodeling, I enjoy identifying the next logical step, expanding strategically, and knowing when to hire more people. I stay committed for the continuous challenge and growth.

At 22, I hesitated to pursue electrical engineering due to financial concerns. Instead, I decided to take our family business seriously. By 23, I recognized cash flow inefficiencies and stepped into financial management. Analyzing the numbers revealed hidden details that impacted productivity, like insufficient tools or unclear expenses.

Over the next three years, I worked to separate our cleaning and construction divisions financially and managerially. This shift improved structure and growth potential.

I follow my father’s work ethic, leadership, and social approach, but I temper his boundless optimism with realism. While he takes on too much at times, I manage resources efficiently, ensuring we hire the right people rather than overextending ourselves. My focus is on structure, practicality, and making sure every decision drives sustainable growth.
